Configure LoyalTek for Winhost TCPIP Comms 1. Upgrade PosLink to Version 1.0.2.107 or greater 2. Goto External Devices - Set CommsMode = TCPIP - Leave IPAddress BLANK Set Port = 0 3. DownLoad WinHost SETUP.EXE From http://server2.stocklinkonline.com/poslink/win32/winhost 4. Run the Setup.EXE and install using the default options 5. Goto Start - Settings - Control Panel - Administritive Tools - Services - Dbl Click "Winhost Service" 6. Make sure Startup Type is Automatic - Click Start - Make sure Service Starts OK 7. REBOOT POS 8. Goto c:\Program Files\Common Files\LoyalTek\Winhost and Edit winhost_service.ini 9. Set the COM_PORT to the com port the CARTOO 8000+ is connected to - Save the .INI File 10. REBOOT POS 11. Get the CARTOO 8000+ Device upgraded (im using version 1.015.048) 12. When upgraded hold down POWER - until unit is OFF 13. Hold down power until unit is ON - And When It displays "Starting...." - Press "ALPHA" twice 14. Enter Technician Password of 999 - Press [ENTER] 15. Select Base Settings - Select "Forced Base" 16. Select Set ECR PROTOCOL - Select "NONE ECR" 17. Once set press cancel several times and unit will reboot 18. Try a transaction - and good luck
